The weekend... A time for relaxation

I spend most of my weekend just hanging around my room. I did get my haircut and walked downtown on Saturday. Saturday night brought the time to watch the Aviator. The movie is good, but not something that is great. However, the movie and haircut were the highlights of Saturday. Sunday was just another day. I think the best part was talking to people back in the states. It is nice to talk to family and friends occasionally.

The only downfall to the weekend is that it made me miss the states. I am ready to go back. The holidays are on the way and I think that is what prompted me to feel this way. Most of the stores and buildings put up the Christmas decorations this weekend. I just cannot see it getting warmer as we get closer to Christmas. I know Florida stays warm for Christmas, but it does not usually get warmer. Here Christmas is in summer! It is ironic that they picture/brand Christmas as a “white Christmas”. However, a “white Christmas” is almost impossible here.
